Default Vista CD Come with New Systems?

I called customer service and they said yes but I am not convinced.
I offered to pay $10 for the CD like they once did.

Dell is back to its old policy of shipping the O/S disks. Note that
Vista ships on DVD, not CD.

Not sure why. MS began using DVD's for Windows XP Media Center.......as
(like Vista) it was too large to fit on a single CD.

I'm not sure what the OP means, but the Vista CD has an image file (.WIM)
and it is very difficult to extract any individual file if desired.

Vista is a horror story wrt installing if you've wiped a hard drive
completely and then created your own partitions.

It bellyaches about being unable to find a suitable volume on which to
install.
