Possibly PunkBuster if the OP uses online gaming - it's a "plugin"
that allows you access to "no cheats allowed" servers.

"If you uninstall PnkBstrA.exe (like the process listed above), you
will get kicked 15-30 seconds after you join a Punkbuster enabled
server"

That's a profiler for c++ programs, I installed it after the mouse started freezing.

ntune is a nvidia graphics tuning program, again installed after the freeze
pnkbstr is PunkBuster, a anticheat program for online games. That's been here since before the freeze

leave it like that and see if it happens.
then slowly add components and wait a bit between each, to see what
triggers it.

I'll try that, i can't find my extra harddrive and don't wanna buy a new unless necessary. I'll post back with results.
