The norm is that a newish Linux distro may have difficulty running on really new
hardware, due to absence of drivers for some of the new hardware. I'm not
surprised, and I would not be surprised either if other Linux distros did not
work either.
Time and again, going back to one of the earliest Linux distros running on a
486, I've seen new hardware bite Linux in the ***... Ben Myers
