[Sorry for being a little off-topic. I don't know where to ask.]
Every year "Consumer Reports" magazine has an issue listing car repair
history statistics. Does any magazine, including those for PCs or
laptops, or an online site, have a similar report for PCs or laptops?
I don't care about the feature or price comparison. I care about how
long the computer or its parts last. Thanks for advice.

Consumer Reports lists laptop and desktop repair/reliability statistics.
The June 2008 has such information for about 10 brands.
PC Magazine has similar information on more brands. The last such report
was (I think) October 2007.
