Default Shutting down monitor in an old Inspiron 7000 without hibernate

I've delegated my old Inspiron 7000 laptop to do server duty. It runs all day and
night doing stuff. I don't want to have LCD monitor burn. It does not ever seem
to go sleep monitorwise since the programs that are running seem to prevent that.
If put a weight on the small monitor pin so the monitor shuts down. Unfortunately
it seems to run a "hibernate" mode which causes problems.

I recal there was so utility that shut the monitor down and not cause a
"hibernate" but can't locate it. Can anyone help.
