Default SATA Drive Preference?

This is for an E510. (sorry if this is a repeat post; I never saw my
first one appear, and could be PBK)

I used to prefer Seagate, but my last few Westerns have been very
reliable and quiet. These are both SATA II, 250GB, 16MB. I realize
I'll have to purchase a right-angled SATA cable. Anyone know if the
18" is long enough for the E510. In the brick and mortar stores
around these parts, I can't find 24" (which is optimum), and the next
length is 36". Proper power cable is provided by the E510.

Any strong preferences? Seems to be coin toss to me.

You want 24" SATA cables w/right angle connectors?
Here's a few:

I highly recommend SVC. I got a great cable at a great price within a
few days and it beat all the other alternatives I looked at.
