Default which is quicker........

for the chip minded amongst you which is quicker a 2gb core duo or a 1.6gb
core 2 duo? my guesse is they would bothe be about the same except the core2
duo would have a slight edge when multi taking or heavy cpu usage apps. The
only reson i ask is that I have aquired a 1.6gb core 2 duo and my D820
currently has in it a 2gb core duo

Go to Tomshardware.com Click on CPUs.

There is a nice comparison utility. Pick a few of the benchmarks and
you'll know the exact answer.

I have no idea. But here's a nice AnandTech article comparing
Core2Duo/CoreDuo chips with the same clock rate (2.33GHz, the T2700 and
T7600). Lots of comments and benchmarks:

Intel says that the difference is 15%, which is 300MHz at 2 GHz.
