That's what I would have thought however for most of the drivers on the cd
my model isn't even mentioned & even for those ticked my model is absent.

I have an external Hauppauge USB tuner and it works great. I haven't
yet purchased Beyond TV (www.snapstream.com) but I've used the trials
and IMO it's much better than the Media Center software that comes
with some versions of XP and Vista (XP MCE, and Vista Premium and
Ultimate).
I could comment on superior software and hardware on the Mac side, but
that would be off-topic so I'll restrain myself :-)

I went through something very similar with my Dimension 4600 recently. They
were not on my CD or, if they were, they wouldn't install. I found what I
needed on the Dell website, and all is well. I've since burned them to a CD
in case I ever need to reformat again.

People, people people! Use something like DriverBackup before you
reformat. Which is a dirty word for me and I refuse to do such a thing.
