Inspiron 9400 with Vista Ultimate. Is there a way to play DVDs that are
stored on your HD?
I have an Inspiron 9300 with XP Media Center and CyberLink Power DVD that
can do this, but I can't install Cyberlink on the 9400 because it says it is
already installed (as part of Media Direct, I think).

You should be able to play them using Media Player. If that fails, Power
DVD should open those flicks.

I meant the PowerDVD that is also the Dell Media Direct player. The PowerDVD
on my 9300 WILL play DVDs on the hard drive. It seems to have no problem
recognizing .obj files.Oops I meant .vob files.

Geeze! I feel like a dummy. I just tried WMediaplayer and it works. Thought
I had tried it before and it hadn't worked, but I guess I'm just getting
senile. Thanks Kevin for telling me to wake up.
