Is there a safe straightward way to overclock a Precision 390? I purchased
an extreme quad core QX6700 for use with this system and would like to run
it a little faster than the default speed.

Unfortunately, the only systems that Dells provides any overclocking
abilities for, is the XPS 7xx series I believe.

Yeah, and I think those are OC'd and locked by Dell.
Course, some of the older Opti/Dimension PII models could be jumpered up
from a blazing 266mhz to 333mhz.
