(OT) What's the preferred version of Acronis TI for Windows XP?
version 7, 9, or the latest, 10.
Can anyone comment? Looking for the most stable version to use with WinXP.
Ideally, I'd like to use it to create a mirrored/bootable volume on a USB
external if that's possible. (Yeah, I know I could google that. I figure I
will wind up stuck with an emergency floppy in conjunction with the external
disk, but I'm asking anyway).
I know there are several here who've used it and I wanted your opinion(s).

Don't know but my guess goes to 9. That said I have used 9 and 10
and both have been good to me.

After quite a bit of work, most/all of the bugs were worked out of v9.
Re: (OT) What's the preferred version of Acronis TI for Windows XP?
I have been using V 10 for several months with XP Pro on a Dell 9150.
Using it with a Maxtor III 300GB One-Touch external drive on a USB
port. Backs up my computer every night without any intervention from
me. I tried the Maxtor One-Touch software in the beginning, but had
so many problems with it I went to Acronis. Completely happy with it.

I think v10 was really for a Vista release. I think their web site
will confirm this.

S.Lewis,
If you plan to use this software on PC's with Vista, now or in the near
future, you should get True Image Home version 10 or True Image
Workstation9.1 .
