I am going to buy an Optiplex 745 or a 320. The 320 uses an ATI X300
integrated graphics, the 745 uses an Intel GMA3000.
So does that mean the 745 has an Intel motherboard? Intel
motherboards are supposed to be good. I can't figure out which
company makes the boards for the 320 or the 745.
I like the idea of using integrated graphics, so I can avoid getting a
graphics card that has a fan on it (low-noise is very important to
me). Plus, if it's an Intel board, that's a plus.
I do powerpoint and bitmap picture work mainly. No gaming, basic
internet use. This leads me to the Pentium 4 3.2ghz. Since every app
that is important to me is single-threaded and 32 bit, I might as well
go for the high clock speed. And single core means less power
consumed compared to dual core. Which means less heat, which means
easier to cool, which means less system noise.
So it's looking like an Optiplex 745 for me...any ideas, please let me
know!

Yes. It's an Intel-based board.
If it were my money, I'd choose the 745 over the 320 every day of the week,
and twice on Sundays.
