Kodakgallery.com seems to have adopted software that won't work with
Dell laptops, at least with mine. You can put prints in your cart
but not check out. (Also the set-account-defaults page comes up
not found, a new bug.) I think it's a remnant of some agreement
giving Dell a cut of prints ordered, that's incompatible with new
software at kodakgallery.
Is there a photoprocessor what allows setting ``zoom and trim'' OFF
so it prints as I created the print as to cropping, with increased
white margins where necessary? The bunch I tried long ago all
expanded the prints to fill, losing the cropping on the .jpg that
I put there. I need this as a default for the account, not
pic by pic, which at dialup speeds would be impossible to tolerate.

I would be surprised if this is true.

Try the MS Office Picture Manager. I find it nice for both viewing
and printing of photos.

I don't get your sig line Ron. Often it's apparent (not very often on
this group) that someone on the Internet is a jerk. Just as behind
the car, behind the computer gives some people a buffer in order to
show their jerky selves.

You might change browsers to see if this is a browser problem. On a
few occasions, I can't use firefox because the site was not written
correctly and have to use IE6 to get the site's features to work
correctly or at all.

Firefox didn't help (I'd been using IE).
If you open another account entirely, you get welcome mail from dellmembers@kodakgallery.com, so it's picking up the Dell attribute
from somewhere.
I think it's the Dell buy prints online feature, that wants to take its
cut, existing on the machine.

Ok. Maybe try the decrapifier to see if that eliminates the dell
bloatware which might be causing the problem??

I got it to work on another Dell laptop. The difference would be that the
first one had been used to order prints online using Dell software. Apparently
that installs something somewhere that doesn't go away, even if you access
the wanted site directly and open an entirely new account.
The second laptop hadn't been used to order prints via Dell's script, and worked
correctly on the site.
So, I think, Dell gets a cut if you use their script to order; and the screwup
is some side-effect where the new site software doesn't work.

Ron, again I wonder if the decrapifier would eliminate the Dell
script? Otherwise I guess you will have to Google about this Dell
script and then search it out on your problem laptop.
