Users force Dell to resurrect XP
Responding to customer demand Dell has restarted selling new PCs with
Windows XP installed on them.
The decision reverses a policy begun in January that meant Windows Vista was
the only operating system available on almost all new home machines.
The change came after Dell's feedback site was swamped with calls for the
return of the venerable software.
Now customers can opt for the Home or Professional version of XP on six
models of Dell machines.

It's harmless to repeat news, when you discover it. Obviously he
found it out somewhere and posted it to the group he thought would

Microstone CEO Methusaleh reportedly dismissed the Apple strategy as
short-sighted and revealed partial plans for a much larger "features
enhanced" wheel.
Analysts predicted, however, that the new Microstone wheel would be slower
and would pose some challenges in that it won't fit in most current consumer
or corporate caves, thereby requiring a complete "rock refresh" for the
system to be fully implemented.
Spokesmen for Microstone commented that customer requirements would never
exceed the capabilities of the new design, "I mean, how much wheel could
anyone really need beyond this?"

"And yet, with intentional irony, Steve Jobs, master of marketing,
wow'd the Apple fan(atics) by saying that their elliptical wheel will
defy logic and will come in the form factor of bugs and dinosaurs of
various colors. Jobs was stunning in his powerful sparseness, wearing
a black jacket with charcoal gray turtleneck underneath. Elton John
was invited but failed to show, noting that the night before he had
been wow'd by an unnamed competing OS."
