Default New Dells & XP Home Edition

Am i correct in saying that there are no more Dell computers
sold with XP Home Edition?
The only ones i can see are loaded with Pro (which i am not fussy about tbh)
And Vista is a non starter, due to incompatability issues(?)
I am talking about the United Kingdom Dell site

Can't speak to the UK site. The U.S. site did have some XP Home
configurations as recently as earlier this week.......

You can still get XP Home Edition in Dell Small Business.
I just configured a D 9200 with it.

The Latitude D520 is currently sold with Windows Home in the least
expensive configuration. I don't know about any other Dell computers
-- the only way to know would be to configure them and see what the
options are.

The Dell Optiplexs are sold with XP Home. Also there is a wide selection
in the outlet of XP units.

I just purchased a XPS 710, had it configured with XP Media Player.

Yeah, i seen a few here too, but i am not too keen on the actual models
What i am now thinking, is to get one with Vista on it and use my OEM
disc, wipe the drive and install XP Home
OK, i will lose the PC restore, but that seems to be the lesser of 2 evils

Just format the OS partition. You won't lose restore. It will likely
break, but if you google DSRFIX you'll fine the program that fixes it.
