I have the Dimension 9200 with the aformentioned card. When I boot
the system, the fan on the card runs at full speed, and doesn't slow
down until the driver for the card loads (afaics).
This is ok when using Windows, however, I have the need to use Debian
on the system, and in this mode, the fan remains at full power
throughout the session. I tried Ubuntu also, as Dell are selling this
on some of their systems, and the same thing happens.
if it works with windows which is driver controlled then the Unix based OS
doesn't have the proper driver to control the fan.
