There is no "Core 2". The correct name is "Core 2 Duo", the second
iteration of "Core Duo" [which, by way of explanation, could be called
"Core 1 Duo"]. In all of these contexts, the "Duo" means dual
processor. There isn't yet but may at some point be a "Core 2 Solo"
chip at some point, a single processor chip to replace what had been the
Celeron line.
