Me too! My XPS 410 is the best desktop I've owned (and I've owned a car
load of Dells!). It just works. Upgradable too.

My shade-tree opinion is that the design was aggressive with a lot of newly
incorporated technology at that time - something that is difficult for any
manufacturer to pull off.
While I stick by my opinion(s), I'd consider them irrelevant compared to
what you're experiencing first-hand with your system.
ie - If your 8400 has been great, then that certainly would override
anything I've seen or experienced.

I did see some posts re: the 8400 after I replied to your post. Perhaps
I lucked out by moving to the 8400 rather late in the game, bought mine
03/2005 from the Outlet Store (after many problems had been solved?).
