Default Event ID 51 Disk on XPS410

I received one of these on 6 July and a cluster of 4 on 8 July. The
drive is a 750GB Seagate HDD. Dell's boot time diagnostics say all HDD's
are fine, plus I ran Seagate's diagnostics (Seatools for DOS) for an
extended period and it came up clean.

Any HDD errors make me uneasy and I'm wondering again if I should pull
the drive. I'm also wondering if this is an XPS410 error because I just
moved the 750GB HDD from my XPS720 to the 410. The 720 has no HDD errors
logged.

Get them direct from Intel for your XPS410's chipset. I did that for a
Dim8400 and it solved *all* problems.

Thanks, William, I'll do exactly that. I'm planning to reinstall XP Pro
fairly soon (current installation seems to have picked up some weird
behavior).
