Default Dell XPS 400/Sigmatel Audio Driver Question

Hi All,

Hope all is well with everyone. I have the following box:

- XPS 400
- BIOS A02
- WinXP SP2 (Fully Patched)
- Currently using mobo audio (Sigmatel)

I was checking around my box and have not found any way that I can use
my "Line In" jack for recording. There is no control for this jack in
the driver controls. All I see is a set of Mic inputs. I stopped into
the Dell Forums and see that there seems to be a problem with Vista
regarding this jack, but it does not appear that there is such a problem
with XP. Has anyone else noticed this problem and is there a possible
workaround (without installing a third party card).

TIA

Rick
