Which reminds me. The "Dell CA team" hasn't really had any effect here have
they? The latest post from "Mike" was generated from an e-mail address off
of www.computerbanter.com .

They come through about as often as a policeman in a very bad
neighborhood......

You've identified a Dell employee in this newsgroup? I'm sure not. I run a
small value added reseller operation (You can look it up), and I do not
discriminate against any name brand. Some name brands are better than others.
Some white box systems are better than others and better than name brands. I
have seen them all in the time I've been in business, tearing apart thousands of
computers.

And what is YOUR business affiliation? ... Ben Myers

It remind me of Ron's sig line: "On the Internet, noone knows you are
a jerk". I think it's often the opposite. Things a person normally
wouldn't say (hopefully) come out. The most cowardly are the little
"snipes" who post little one-liners.

As much garbage that I give dell, I have to admit. Their customer service is
still good. Even after outsourcing allot of their tech support. I had a E705
and noticed a dead pixel about 4 months after I bought it. Called Dell and
they sent me a return box and off it went to get replaced. Although when I
got it back it had a couple of small scratches on the bezel that it didn't
have when I sent it off. Plus it had a small keyboard screw laying in the
touchpad when I opened it up after getting it back. Must have been an extra.
I took the button cover off and all the keyboard screws were still in place.
I just got a M1210 and am very happy with it. I was giving some other guy
some crap about dells on this topic. But I would recommend them. For basic
desktops and notebooks, they really are the best. For price and reliability.
