Does anyone know the special Dell Latitude warranty service number? I
believe there used to be a specialized phone number for Latitude
notebooks for warranty service. My previous experience is that this
specialized group was much better because of their specialized
knowledge and experience on Latitudes.

Theres no real difference between Lat and Insp apart from strength
type/build issues and many of the parts are used on both ranges ie
motherboards.
You just dial the main number and give them your tag number they will
identify your system and put you through to the correct dept, wether lat,
insp or precision
Although I understand what you say, I'm not sure I agree.
In any case, I had a number for a latitude specific warranty division,
perhaps for small and medium businesses. I got there after
substantial problems in February with "general" tech reps who knew
less than I did. This group used to answer the phone, "Latitude
Warranty Service". That's the number I'm looking for. Perhaps they
don't currently exist, but they did in February.

When I contact Dell with an XPS problem they always want the Express Service
Code rather than the Service Tag number.
