Dell Inspiron 4150 Memory Upgrade

Hello,

I wish to upgrade the memory in my dell inspiron 4150 and was
wondering if I were to install 2x 1gb ram sodimm's would this system
recognize this amount of memory and make full use of it? Dell states
the maximum memory as 1 gb here:

but I am curious if anyone else has succesfully exceded the stated 1gb
limit. Thanks.

Crucial says 2x512mb is the max as well.
