Yes, standard ATX form factor. On some Dell systems, the cutout in the back is
not quite large enough for a generic power supply with an on-off rocker switch.
Otherwise, I have used decent quality generic ATX12v power supplies as
replacements for a number of Socket 478 and even LGA 775 boxes. Also the P3
Optiplex GX150. Not other Pentium III systems, though... Ben Myers

Antec and PC Power & Cooling are two of the more expensive brands along with
Zalman. All are very quiet. There are lots and lots of no-name power supplies
being milled out in China, and I have no clue how good any of them are.
I would avoid Bestec and Newton, two cheesy brands used in eMachines, Gateway,
HP, and Compaq... Ben Myers

I have already checked out Antec which is what I normally use. All the ATX
PS that
I found have SATA connectors on them.

PC Power & Cooling only makes rather expensive PS - too expensive to use as
a replacement for a Dimension 2400.

Try Dell spare parts, they are usually pretty reasonable
and you can find them here: http://warrantypartsdirect.dell.com/...m/T1421000.ASP
or here;1-800-357-3355
Most of the ATX12v power supplies for sale today have both SATA and older style
white 5v-12v connectors. With the 2400, the SATA connectors would go unused,
which won't harm anything... Ben Myers
