Default Dell "Cards"

In Dell ads wireless "mini cards" and Bluetooth "mini cards" are referred
to.. Meanwhile Broadband is "built in." Are the wireless and Bluetooth
cards which are referred to cards(dongles) or are they actually integrated,
built
in?? Thanks for the info..

Those cards are plugin cards, they are not integrated into the motherboard.
If you want to buy one or change one you can buy it and plug it in . As
long as your notebook is available with those options you can buy cards to
fit if not they will either be USB / PCMCIA type cards.

they are mini daughter cards, that either connect to the systemboard via a
slot similar but not the same as a DIMM slot or as in the case of the
bluetooth module they connect just via a multi plug and either sit in a
little bay access via the underneath or under the power bezel is another
place Dell put them

The wireless and Bluetooth devices are integrated. Wi-Fi wireless
adapters usually connect to a so-called mini-PCI slot inside the
computer. It may be accessible from the outside by unscrewing a door.

The Bluetooth adapter usually connects via an internal USB port, so it
too is inside the computer.

And the wireless card has more limited range if the laptop does not have antenna
wires,,, Ben Myers
