Default Cyberpower PR3000SWRM2U

I have a Cyberpower PR3000SWRM2U that Dell sells sans battery pack. It's
specs call for 8 12vdc gas absroption mat batteries, but the back of the
unit states 48 vdc only. There are two sets of battery dc connecters. Am I
correct in assuming that each dc connector has 4 batteries in series?
Cyberpower isn't giving me much help....thanks.

Have it installed with 2 banks of 4 12 vdc 38 amp hour sealed lead acid gas
absorption mat batteries wired in series....it is working wonderfully.
Charging voltage has topped out at 54.4 vdc per bank, well within specs.
