try this
Go start - run and type msconfig
Then in the box that pops up click on the start up tab.
Then find BTTRAY and untick the box. (Your bluetooth will still work)

and then the system config utility box pops up every time XP starts.
I have already done the inf file fix on another drive and that had no
problems thereafter.........
