OK fair enough
I guess what I'm wanting is a Nano receiver based
keyboard ANND mouse combo! A small, compact wireless
keyboard and mouse that would turn my laptop into a
quasi "desktop"..... and use that small nano receiver

Cool!
Unfortunately this laptop is my only computer ... at
the moment

What the world needs is a wireless keyboard with a built-in
trackball in place of the number pad.

And... the trackball is in the middle, below the spac bar instead of where
the number pad would be. I've sometimes fantacized about sawing off the
number pad from the rest of the keyboard.... But, of course, I would then
find a need for the number pad. :-)

Agree
I just did some research and see where Apple makes a
very nice looking Bluetooth keyboard that is small,
compact

Whaaaaat!? No Delete key? I couldn't live without Delete!
I love the Apple wireless keyboard. For me I don't have much desk
space because I use two computers from the same desk. Because the
Apple wireless keyboard uses such little desk space I have room for my
full-size Window keyboard and mouse too.
It looks like a good buy because it's also a hub. There were some
comments that some things couldn't be powered properly through the hub
-- I know I have experienced that with USB TV Tuner / PVRs. There are
a few notebook stands (without hubs) that I like a lot. I am more
inclined to get a good, simple stand without a hub, and if I need a
hub to get a good one separately.
- Mstand Laptop Stand By Rain Design
- Griffin 1093-CURV2 elevator/Computer Laptop Stand
Both can be found by Amazon searches -- lots of user reviews.
