I know that most graphics cards will work in any PC if you get the
right driver, but I have a DELL PC of a fairly "low" design - in
other words, cards I've tried so far are too high to close the lid !!!
If anyone has a card of the type DELL PCs can handle, then please name
your price! (I don't want to have to throw the PC away!)
The motherboard is FOXCONN L S-36, if that's any help.

How about a clue as to the model no of the Dell. Also measuring from the PCI
slot to the cover for a clearance distance would be helpful.

I found 50+ on Ebay just do a search for a low profile graphics card loads
to choose from and various dedicated memory sizes
Re: Anyone got a graphics card for DELL PC to sell?
From what you have described, it sounds like your system is a "small form
factor" (SFF) Optiplex GX270/GX280, Dimension 4600i or similar. Probably the
GX270. The badge on the front panel tells the Dell model, which is generally
more useful that the info you gave.
If so, you would need a "low-profile" AGP card, manufactured so that it has a
shorter mounting bracket and less headroom. These are readily available on eBay
for fairly short money. You also need to pay some attention to the type of
monitor connector which the card has, any one of old-time 15-pin SVGA, DVI or
dual-monitor DVI... Ben Myers

Thanks (to you and everyone else). I'm not a hardware expert in the
slightest, hence my thinking the motherboard would suffice! The model
no. is "DHM" by the looks of it, and there's also a serial no.
(relevant?) I was assuming that maybe ALL of Dell's graphics cards
were of that same "reduced headroom" (the ones I'd already tried were
a variety of makes), hence my naive subject line.
Believe me, I did spend an hour googling "Foxconn L S-36" in the hope
that it would also mention a compatible graphics card make somewhere
along the line, but in vain.
I've been looking at hundreds of card on eBay recently, judging them
purely by the pics! However, I shall now proceed with the above
suggestions in mind......
