If your current system has a digital monitor output, why get an analog
monitor? Take advantage of all the capabilities of that system you paid
good money for. If ordering a new desktop, order it with a video card of at
least 128 MB RAM and a DVI output. And a digital monitor to hook that DVI
output up to.
depending on the model vostros, the video port may be analog or both analog
and digital.
the dell 22" wide perspective monitor is analog only. the 24" wide
perspective has both analog and digital inputs.
the quality of the image of the 24" when running with an analog or a digital
input is not distinguishable to my eye, but there is a difference in the
about of 'work' that the computer/video card is doing when connected via the
analog port.
specific model number would go along way to help discuss your question.
if you want higher quality image it isn't really about the analog vs digital
question, it is about the basic vs ultrasharp monitor models.
