Default ADDING DVD DRIVE TO DIMENSION 8200

I replaced my CD drive with a DVD and when I try to play a DVD it asks for a
decoder. Which is the proper one to download and is there one for free?

There are a number of commercial DVD decoders out there, but your
drive *may* have come with one already. Check to see if you got a disc
containing this software with the drive. If you didn't get such a
disc, or there is no decoding software on it, InterVideo and Cyberlink
both sell DVD playback/decoding software. Demonstration versions are
available. At this point in time, I tend to prefer the Cyberlink
offering a little bit.

One free solution that works pretty well is the VideoLAN player (VLC),
available at http://www.videolan.org/.

I saw another DVD playback package being offered for free, but I don't
remember what it was called. If you search my postings to this group,
you might find it. I inquired here about its quality and never heard
anything back, so if you do find and use it, I'd like to hear how it
worked for you. (Note that this e-mail address is NOT valid!)
