The visible part of that three-mile long URL Tony provided did
not have that system info. Tom's point was valid. Tony should
have IDed the XPS 720 as the system involved if he wanted to be
helpful at all.
[I didn't worry at all. My Dell system passed its BIOS A06
release years ago, so I knew that whatever the system involved,
it isn't the one I have. ;->]
i agree that the op could/should have included the model he was talking
about. as for your model (unknown) or any other, i think it is worth
reading the notes for each update to see what specifically it address. if
it doesn't do anything for you then don't bother with it (as in this case it
only applies to support for newer processors), but in many cases the upgrade
can help to resolve current potential problems (boot issues with usb type
devices is a common fix found in bios updates these days).
