Does a 9200 Desktop come with a LAN card even though the specs don't
mention it? I notice you can order a modem or wireless (I guess it
is) but no mention of ethernet.

All Dell desktops have Ethernet on board. It is listed under the specs.

I don't see it. I think I'll stay with the notebook path, and try to figure
out what monitor to order.
Somebody mentioned, and I can't find with google (but is their usenet search
******* up), the Belkin PS/2 to USB thingy that works for keyboard and mouse
with a laptop. I'd like to keep this keyboard and mouse, having set it up
superbly as to ergonomics (no carpal tunnelling, no fatigue, in spite of the
fact that I work all day at this desktop thing with telnet).

Bottom of the page.
Also, here is a link to the Belkin PS/2 to USB adapter I use with my IBM
keyboard on my XPS 410

Ethernet is integrated and 1 Gb for 9200/410's these days.
