Default 2.0 GHz V1500's at the outlet

There's about 40 identical $549 T7250 Vostro 1500s at once at the
Outlet.

(My benchmarks show them worth about $424 in terms of all-time
best price for the CPU power, but that's a rare event currently)

What's strange is the sudden arrival of so many identical items,
which leaves you wondering how it happened.

Most likely (?) they're new and being moved out?

Not sure, isn't that model now EOL?

Are they loaded with WinXP, Vista or either?

They're XP Home (there might be others with other O/S's, I didn't
check).

I think the model is being phased out, yes. On the other hand it
comes with
a modem, which is only an option on the 1510, and I don't see any
other
differences worth mention.

that price on the outlet is actually really good.
compared to what the replacement 1510 is going for.
i actually like that model and not sure if i'll like the 1510.
not sure why there are phasing that design out. a lot of my clients love
it. feels nice and solid.
i've bought some already from the outlet.
that is my entry level laptop.
any option upgrades on that and i go to a latitude.
