Default 1801FP Monitor problems

I purchased a 17" dell 1801FP plug and play monitor from a local pawn shop
but the rotation feature for vertical view and horizontal view is not working
or the dvi-d feature for switching between analog and digital but the monitor
looks great all the features for setup, auto adjust and the main menu
features for changings setting work fine. I need to know am I doing something
wrong or not doing something right or should i just take this as a loss from
the pawn shop.

Need some advice

There is no 1801FP monitor. There is a 1701FP and here is the link to the
manual:

There is probably a reason this unit was in a pawn shop. You can buy a
brand new monitor for about $200 from Dell.

There is an 1800FP. I've got two of them and it sounds like the OP
describes - except for the rotation features. It's 18" not 17".

The Analogue-DVI is just a toggle. Clearly you need to plug two inputs
in to the monitor, one analogue, one DVI. Pressing the button will then
toggle between the two.

Mine doesn't have any kind of rotation feature.

Cheers
