Default USB Printer Problem with system re-boot

I have an HP psc 2410 Photosmart All in One printer which works perfectly. The problem I am having is when I reboot my computer I have to unplug the USB for the printer in order for my system to boot completely. Any ideas on how to keep this from happening? Its a pain to climb in the floor and unplug the printer each time I need to reboot my machine......
