Default Taking Suggestions for new build

Hi all, -------Apology to the Admins, I didn't mean to double this Thread........

I think its time for me to turn in the 3.0 GHz Pentium 4 w/ HT for a new Core 2 Duo CPU. But on this new build of mine, that I am planning to do, I want to do everything right, so that I can get the most performance for my money. I want to get a new motherboard, obviously a Core 2 Duo CPU (probably around 2.66 GHz) and some new RAM. I guess Im just looking for someone to tell me what has to add up to "x", meaning, for a 2.66 GHz CPU with 1333Mhz FSB, is there a specific RAM speed that would work perfectly with the CPU (not wasting any of the CPU's performance, while not making the CPU wait for the RAM). Ya get what I mean? Im looking for a trifecta.... a motherboard, cpu, and RAM, that go together and compliment each other almost perfectly, without wasting money on excess speed that will be wasted.
