Default System not booting....Plz give some solution.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

Whenever I start my system it boots for few seconds ( 3-4 seconds) then it gets shutdown for 1-2 seconds and after that again it gets restarted automatically . but nothing is appearing in the screen it is just blank from starting itself.

I have changed the RAM, checked SMPS and processor all these things are working fine. Is it due to Motherboard failure.????

Can somebody help me on this.

Regards
Neeraj

First of all we must get the bios POST (Power On Self Test) or simply bios boot.. without this nothing will happen.

The way I would go about it is to disconnect all USB devices, un-hook all the drives including the hard drive... and see what happens, you should be able to get the bios to boot and get that single bleep...... if all was ok it'll let you know that there is no Hard drive or operating system installed.

The reason for disconnecting is simple, faulty USB devices could create havoc with booting, and disconnecting the hard drive we are getting shut of any viruses and any conflicts.... and we're taking the hard drive out of the equation.

Still no boot, we are looking at the graphic, CPU fan & Power supply unit first of all, so try reinserting the graphic card, handle it with the edges and not the components...

... ensure the cpu heat sink is free of dust and that the fan is easy to turn... with it switched off of course , there should be no resistance at all when spun by the finger.... check the power supply by substitution if at all possible.

Look out for bad caps on the mobo this is what they look like Bad cap's in mobo's
