Exclamation Positively ancient ATA 66 daughter-board

I've been trying to use an "Iwill Ultra ATA66 Ide controller card" to control additional >300GB "Viagra" (Hard) Disks in XP-Pro.

Whilst there seems to be NO problem in XP finding the card - if I add a 60 GB HD to it, the HD is found and is accessable, but when I add even ONE of the three 300GB HD's on, they are NOT seen by the "HighPoint 366" controlled card.

I'm having to use my second {main} IDE controller on my Asus P4 mainboard to be about to access only TWO of these 300GB HD's - The other one has to run via an IDE to USB2 converter cable into the back of my desktop to be able to access all three of these 300GB Hard Disks.

Now that does leave me with my CDWriter & my DVD writer with no "home" to plug in to on the mainboard, but they seem to be "found" on bootup within the "Iwill" additional IDE connection card, and certainly the disks I insert can be "read" - I haven't tried "writing to CDROM or DVD *yet* - or even tried "Booting" from CDROM/DVD - but if I run into difficulties there, I can at least swap the cable over so that the CD/DVD are back on their previous IDE2 socket.

However, I reckon that the "Iwill" controller *ought* to be able to "see" larger than 60GB HD's - ie... my 300GBs ought to be available to me from this controller.

Unfortunately - it seems that "Iwill" has turned into an "I won't" as I can not find any google link to that organisation that now works - and searches for HighPoint 366 drivers/BIOS seem to end with W2K.

As I said earlier - I have no problem with XP finding the card - just that the card ignores my large Hard Disks.

Anyone got any "fixes" ??
