PC SHuts while using application which need more graphics....
Hi,
My PC config is
Core 2 Duo 1.8,
1 GB Ram Kingston,
160 GB Hitachi Sata HDD,
Asus P5NE-SLI Motherboard,
Nvidia 7300 GT Graphics Card (256 MB)
i got this PC approx 8-9 months back. it was working smooth. but since last month it shuts down itself when i use graphic intense applications like games n photo editing applications.
I play Formula 1 game called F1 challenge which used to run on mine old machine also which was P3 933 Mhz, 256 MB SD Ram, Geforce2 400 mx (64 MB) card. but now when i start this game PC shuts down, some days back i was trying out Coral Painter Essentials 4 and while it was doing some alterations to my picture again the PC abruptly got switched off.
Please tell me what can i do... what is the problem.
You say you got the computer about 9 months ago but not if it was under warranty, if it is under warranty you might be better having a word with the supplier.
It could shut down completely or go to standby if something is overheating, the power supply not up to standard or sheer lack of memory in the RAM, but shouldn't be the case with 1Gb so we can exclude that.
Maybe a good idea is to let it go to a shut down state, immediately reboot into bios and see if you can check the CPU temperature there.... don't try to adjust anything in there, we are just hunting for clues, just that I was thinking it's a temperature related issue.
