Default New 64 bit system build ( full details on system) need help!

I have built a desktop pc and it is a 64 bit based system. I am trying too work out all the bugs, but am curantly having some problems with running games such as; Flight Simulater X.
Operating system is windows vista home premium (x64) servise pack 1 build, system model Gigabyte Technology Co. , desktop,
processor; 2.30 gigahertz AMD Phenom 9650 Quad core
256 kilobyte primary memory cache
512 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready
multi-core (4 total)
not hyper-threaded

Just wondered if it's anything to do with the graphic drivers and the games suitability for Vista and it's service pack, not being a gamer thats all I can suggest I'm afraid, if I come across anything I'll post back... at least I've 'propped up' your post.
