Unhappy Monitor flashing Green

Hi All,

Iam a new joinee to this forum.Iam facing a very strange issue with my PC.

My monitor suddenly working booting next day.The green light on monitor keeps on blinking continuously, but there is nothing coming on Display(Completely Black Screen). The fan on motherboard is working, even harddisks are getting power. The lights on keyboard flashes once on starting.
I connected the monitor to my Brother's PC and it worked there perfectly(that rules out monitor to be defective).
I have tried removing RAM and putting it back without success. Also tried changing the power cord connected to monitor.
I now strongly suspect either motherboard or SMSPS to be faulty.
Anyone, pls share your views on this as it is driving me out of nuts.Pls...it is very urgent

Thanks

Just try changing your CMOS battery... Make sure you use the correct spec. (mentioned in the back of your old battery).
if not, your RAM has failed...

Well,the problem is resolved.
I changed SMPS first, but the problem persisted.
Finally changed the motherboard and prob was resolved.
I still cant understand how the motherboard can go faulty in a fortnight without suffering any damage or shock...

well....Thanks anyway for your reply...
I had tested the RAM on my brothers PC and it worked fine there.
Though the prob is solved, but for the sake of my assurance,I will try ur suggestion of replacing CMOS battery on the faulty motherboard.
