I have a dell inspiron with a quad core and vista 32 bit on it. I have 3 gig of pc 6400 ram on it. Is it worth going to 4 gig. i know vista has some sort of issues above 3 gig
What?? What are you running on it that you need more?? 3GB memory is plenty unless your possessed with it and if your not and you have the cash to spend then why not.
More memory will mean your covered for future operating systems and software which use a lot of memory.
Make sure first your laptop can accept up to 4GB memory.

Windows Vista stopped having memory issues when using 4gb and more ram about 2 years ago.
And wether it's worth going for 4gb depends on how well you think the system has performed for the tasks you use it for.
If your laptop is not working with 3gig then try 4gig.
I have lenovo with quad core with 4gig. I have no problem and my laptop gives the good performance.

No it is not worth it. Windows 32 bit systems only recognize about 3.2, or 3.4 gigs of ram at most. Soo although you will make a small tiney gain it will not be anything that you would notice. In other words you would be throwing you're hard earnd money away for nothing....
