I have three drive on my hard drive. C, D and E. I have put D drive for check disk using command chkdsk /F
D drive has around 25 GB space our of which only 450 MB were empty. chkdsk successfully complete. After that when i check i can not access D drive. It shows THere is not enough space on the disk message. I can see C, D and E all the drive but D drive shows blank in the mycomputer. Also disk management shows D drive as healthy drive with its 25 GB space but we can not do anything with that. I can use C and E drive as usual but d drive i can not do anything. Please let me know what to do, how can i get those data back.
There is only one hard disk with 80 GB capacity and it has three partitions, i.e. C, D and E. C has system files, D has program files and E has data files. D has problem as i explain.
Is drive D: formated with FAT32 or NTFS? Have you tried accessing it from DOS - that is booting to DOS off floppies or a CD and and trying to access D: drive. If not - give it a go and run chkdsk from there.
