Default DVD-RW Drive Causes Audio Problems

Firstly, let me say that I really have no knowledge of computer hardware and the like.

Anyway, I recently purchased an ASUS DRW 1814BL drive with lightscribe. i installed it a few days ago and everything seems to be working fine. I am finally able to burn DVDs and copy DVDs after getting certain programs and the lightscribe feature is AWESOME but there is one problem. When i play a DVD, the sound is really messed up. I've tried everything i can think of but as i said before...i dont know much. My OS is Windows XP and everything is updated. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE.

if any other info is needed to help with troubleshooting, please let me know. i really dont know what info to supply.

Check ur dvd-rw properties,
Right click on My computer---Properties----------Hardware tab----Device Manager-----in that DVD/CD-ROM drives--->double click on DVD-RW driver icon. When that window open go on Properties tab. In Properties "check on" enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device. Your problem will be solved.
