Dual boot IDE w SATA for DATA

Built a PC ASUS Formula II MOBO, Q6600 CPU, 4MB Corsair XMS2 1066, 1000W PSU Zerotherm CPU cooler. ONE SATA HDD with two DVD R/w.

Question. Is there an issue with adding an IDE Drive. My goal is to use the IDE as the OS drive to boot from both Vista and XP. Movie editing software isn't Vista Compatable as of yet.

Presently DATA and the OS share the same drive OPS!!!
