Default disk defragmenter problem

When I try to defragment the disk on my Dell Dimension 4550 I get a message that reads: Disk defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: ( C: ). Please run Chkdsk/f. No idea what this means or how to get it working again.

Overclocked is an unknown quantity at this point
Default

Just go Start > Run, type "cmd" there and in the popped-up console type chkdsk /f Then restart the system. That's all!
