Now it is running at full speed. In the bios there is nowhere I can specify the settings. Are the temperature sensors on the fan or on the motherboard?
It's difficult to give you an exact answer on your question as you haven't supplied much information...
ie: Motherboard make and model number, and if the fan is a standard case/chassis fan or CPU fan.
If it's a CPU fan, the fan speed is controlled by the motherboards temp sensors.
If it's a case fan, it could be running without sensors, or using motherboard temp sensors, depending on how the fan is set up and what connectors it has.
There is very limited information available on the internet regarding the particular model that you quoted.
I suspect that if this fan speed issue has only just started, that it could be the result of either: build up of dust/crud on your fan blades, or system overclocking.
Skyline graphics sells this fan... I just ordered one for my dell demensions...It was $16 plus $6 shipping...and they ship out same day you call priority...
They are super nice on the phone and would give you the information you need...just call 1-214-388-7922 in TX...this is also the order phone #...
