I have an OEM version of Nero (6.6.0.19) installed on my computer,
running under WinXP SR 2. This OEM came with my current CD/DVD drive,
which Control Panel describes as TSST corp CD/DVDw SH-S182M. I have one
of the British magazine cover discs which contains Roxio Creator 10
Basic Edition. I would like to install Roxio and compare it to the Nero
version, but I know that a few years ago two two didn't mix at all well,
and having both on one machine was a nightmare. Is this still true? I
know that there is a very sharp division between the users of Roxio and
Nero, almost amounting to open warfare. Please, no trashing of either
system; I want to make my own comparisons. I used Roxio on previous
machines and I liked some parts of it, as I like certain parts of Nero.
Thanks for any compatibility information any of you may have.

The problem isn't all parts can not be installed, it is that no 2 packet
writing softwares can be installed. Nero's InCD and Roxio's drag to disk
both can not be installed. Install one or th other, or better yet leave
them both out as they are nothing but trouble. Have had both on my
machine until just recently. Now I have neither. Both are becoming bloat
ware. All I really need is the CD/DVD writing ability. Now they both
have video editors, photo editors, etc, etc, etc.
