Don't take this as advice but as my personal experience, okay? I was
using Burn4Free and
kept having that same problem. I finally tried slowing down the speed
to a really slow speed
and got perfect results. I kept increasing the 'x' speed till I
repeated the disk full but nothing
showing result, then decreased the speed.
BTW, I made some really attractive mobiles from those disks. At least
they didn't go to
complete waste.

This could be very useful to me but am having difficulty understanding it. Would uou please paraphrase?

After writing to the disk at a higher speed, I would check it with
'explorer' and it
showed nothing on the disk, even though the disk showed zero free space.
I started out writing at 24x and found thru trial and error that I could
only write at 8x and
get a successful write. Hence the many cd's that are used as a mobile.
Thanks, Planer. I'm posting a maybe more explanatory account of my quandry.

Solved - Was: Nero - Burn ISO but resulting CD is empty
Hi, Planer, thanks. I already tested with the lowest speed before
posting and still failed.
Hi, Smh, thanks. I checked and it was properly selected. In fact when
burning a data CD "from files" instead from an image works.
I finally decided to try ImgBurn, which is free, and the very same
image file that Nero was unable to burn, at the maximum speed was
perfectly burned by ImgBurn.
